Mr Lapologang Onkabetse holds an MSc in Construction Law from University of Wolverhampton, UK and BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying from University of Central England, UK, 1997). He also has a Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management. He is a certified Project Management Practitioner, having successfully completed a PRINCE 2 program.
He is an experienced Quantity Surveyor and Construction practitioner who has served the construction industry in Botswana through the different roles he held for more than twenty-five years. He currently works as a Chief Project Coordinator at the Ministry of Transport and Public Works. He first joined the public service on 2nd December 1997 as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor in the then Department of Architecture and Building Services under the then Ministry of Works, Transport and Communications and gradually progressed through the ranks. Among the other positions he held are Secretary to the Buildings Regulations Board and Ministry of Infrastructure, Science and Technology Legal Services Liaison Officer on construction related matters. He is the ex-officio member representing the parent Ministry in the Council.
